Privacy Policy

This policy covers tarsisglobal.com, haven.tarsisglobal.com, and the Tarsis-Haven account system. It does not cover work product or data shared with Tarsis as part of a scoped advisory engagement — that is governed by the engagement agreement, not this page.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use tarsisglobal.com — pages visited, time on page, referral source, approximate location by IP. This is aggregate, not tied to your name or email unless you separately give us that information.

The contact form is processed by Web3Forms, a third-party form-delivery service. When you submit it, your name, email, message, and the business qualification fields (import value, SKU count, preferred language) are sent to us through Web3Forms and land in our inbox. We use this only to respond to your inquiry and, if an engagement follows, to scope it. See Web3Forms’ own privacy policy for how they handle data in transit.

Creating a Tarsis-Haven account (Join / Sign in) collects and stores:

• Your email address.
• If you sign up with email and password: a salted, hashed version of your password (we never store or have access to the plain-text password itself).
• If you sign in with Google: your name, email, and profile image as provided by Google’s OAuth consent screen — nothing else from your Google account.
• A session token (cookie) that keeps you signed in. This is functional, not used for cross-site tracking or advertising.

This data is stored in a Postgres database we operate (hosted by Neon) and is used solely to authenticate you, rate-limit abuse of the assistant, and let you return without re-entering your details. We do not use it for marketing.

Questions you ask Tarsis-Haven are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate a response and are logged server-side for abuse prevention, rate limiting, and quality review. Conversations are not sold, and are not used to train third-party models beyond Anthropic’s own standard API terms (Anthropic does not train on API conversations by default — see Anthropic’s own privacy policy for specifics). Treat anything you type into Tarsis-Haven, including uploaded documents, like input to any other third-party AI tool: useful for the general compliance question you’re asking, not a substitute for how you’d handle information you need kept confidential (customer lists, unpublished pricing, login credentials, government ID or account numbers). Tarsis-Haven does not act on what it’s told beyond answering the question — it does not file anything with CBP or take any action outside the chat.

You can attach a file (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Outlook .msg/.eml) to a Tarsis-Haven question so it can read the contents — for example, a bill of materials you want help understanding classification frameworks for. Here is what happens to that file:

• The raw file itself is never written to disk or stored in our database. It is read into memory just long enough to extract the text, then discarded.
• The extracted text is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API as part of your question, under the same terms described above, and is subject to the same size limit (documents over roughly 15 MB, or very long ones, are trimmed — Tarsis-Haven will tell you if that happened).
• What we store for your conversation history is the filename you attached, not the extracted document text.
• Tarsis-Haven applies the same limits to an uploaded document that it applies to anything you type directly — it will not use a document’s contents to produce a filing-ready HS classification, a valuation, or a country-of-origin determination for a specific shipment. See the disclaimer in Tarsis-Haven’s own responses for the current scope of what it will and will not do.

As above, do not upload a document containing information you need to keep strictly confidential (trade secrets you haven’t decided to share with a third-party AI tool, personal data of employees or customers, financial account credentials).

We do not sell personal data. We do not run third-party advertising or ad-retargeting pixels on this site. We do not share Tarsis-Haven account data with data brokers.

Account data persists until you ask us to delete it or the account has been inactive for an extended period. To delete your Tarsis-Haven account and associated data, email hello@tarsisglobal.com from the account’s registered email address. We will confirm deletion within a reasonable time.

We use a functional session cookie (Tarsis-Haven sign-in) and Google Analytics’ standard cookies. Neither is used for cross-site ad targeting.
